Gynae Visit at 36 weeks!

We are pretty close to the delivery and seriously, I just couldn't wait for the grand day! I wanted to meet my baby boy so much! I can't wait to see him, I can't wait to cuddle him and I can't wait to give him my all !

Checkup was great, everything went so well and we got to see a healthy bub growing so well inside of me. Little boy is now 2.2kg, amniotic fluid is plenty, heartbeat is strong, baby's back is on the left of my tummy and he's facing the right side, so more kicks on the right side of tummy. Baby is still head down, which is a very good news and he's getting into the process of engage! And that explains the pressure that I feel everyday on the vagina bone, sometimes it hurts when I walk/lie down.. Braxton Hicks on and off, but it comes mostly at 12pm, during lunch time.

 Our baby's strong heartbeat!

After the checkup, we decided to go on a 10 mins CTG to monitor the pattern of our baby's heartbeat. Because.... Last week, baby boy was not as active as usual and it created a little worry in me, so I decided to tell Dr that baby was not as active as last time and his kicks weren't as strong as before. So, he suggested that we do a 10 mins CTG to monitor the fetal heartbeat and from there, we will know if everything is ok. So, we were in the room next door, hooked up with two discs on my belly to monitor our baby's heartbeat.

We were glad that we did the CTG, at least we know our baby is still going strong.. his heartbeat is happy and consistent. Nothing to be alarmed of and we can go home!

Thank you Jesus!

Overall, we had a great 36 weeks checkup and the next checkup is scheduled on 38 weeks. And that is very near to our EDD! Oh dear... I'm so EXCITED! =)

A scare!

We are now hitting 34 weeks and you know when the time is near, you are trying to be very careful because one more month to go, you will be meeting your little one. But as much as you trying to be very careful, some how things won't go your way. And this is scary... I alsmot phobia of walking now , that I try to walk as slow as possible. And ensure that the floor is clear, that I won't miss any steps and fall.

The story went like this. I woke up on a Sunday morning, cooked and settled some house works before the little girl is awake. I completed everything that I should, and she was still sleeping, so I decided to mop the floor. Halfway mopping, she was crying cause nobody was in the room. So, I quickly mopped before I go and grab her. But, the floor was slippery and papppp... I fell! I was in shocked, pregnant woman fall down! This is really scary that I called Justin and he was a little panic as well. Thank God, I don't feel pain in my tummy neither do I have any bleeding/leaking. Everything was good, except for some bruises on my knee and some pain on my arm. At least there's no pain on my tummy. Thank you God for your protection!

After this fall, I have been monitoring our baby's movement regularly and me being a little paranoid or when my mind goes wild, I will be wondering if my baby is moving and kicking like usual. Even though my baby is moving and kicking, sometimes I still doubt, whether the kick is as hard as last time or mild kicks. To cast away all those worries, we prayed and decided to go for checkup the next day, to ensure that everything is fine.

So, off we went to the hospital for checkup the next day. Appointment was full and we are not in the waiting list as well. We decided to just hop into the hospital as early as 8am and hopefully Dr Paul arrived early that day. And he did! He arrived at 8am, Justin told him I fell and immediately, before waiting for the nurse to arrive, he quickly check on me.

Here's the updates on 34 weeks.
1) Baby is now 1.8kg! Yippiee!
2) Baby's heartbeat is strong!!
3) Baby is active!!
4) Baby is measuring right on track!!
5) Baby is growing well!
6) Amniotic fluid is great as well!

Basically, everything is perfectly fine and we do not have to worry anymore! It is all by His Grace and Blessings that we are all WELL! Thank you God!

Here's our little one at 34 weeks! =D

Gynae Visit at 32 Weeks

Are we there yet? We are pretty excited when we finally stepped into the 3rd trimester, and now as we are in our 32 weeks .. we know that we will be meeting our little guy soon. If little guy decided to come out one day earlier than EDD, just like his big sister, we have 8 more weeks to go and his birthday will be 18 May 2013. Same birthday month as mommy!

We had our follow up checkup with Dr Paul and once again, our heart is filled with thankfulness that our baby boy is growing so well! He's now 1.6kg, ample of amniotic fluid, tummy size still very small (as if I'm only 6 months pregnant), baby is active, heartbeat is great, and yes, we managed to have a view on our handsome baby, 3D view. My heart melted when I saw his handsome features on the screen, the eyes, nose, mouth, ears.. and his tiny little fingers cover his face saying that he's shy! Haha! I really can't wait to meet this little guy soon ..............

Gynae was pleased with everything and baby is still head down (very good news), same position when we had our checkup at 28 weeks. Placenta has already moved up, not blocking the birth canal. Everything is great, and this time will be another round of natural birth! Phewww... again, I would say it a joyful pain. I had done it once, and I can do it the 2nd time! =D

Little guy, daddy + mommy + big sister are all waiting for your grand entrance into this world and we will definitely dote you more than anything else!

Measuring the size of the abdomen ..

This is it!! Can you see the handsome features of our little guy? The two eyes, nose, mouth and he's lying on his side, side view.. so cute! I really really can't wait to meet my little boy!

8 more weeks to go!! =D

Baby Bump @ 30 weeks 3 days

30 weeks and this means, we have 7 more weeks to full term and 10 more weeks to due date! Are we happy and excited enough? Absolutely! We're so excited with baby boy's arrival that we have many ideas running in our mind. Next month, April.. we have a lot of to do list and hopefully we will get our feet running.

I'm so excited. Baby boy is very active and I love his kicks/squirms.. they are all strong jabs. And I love feeling those hard jabs and movements, knowing that our baby is growing well! As the belly grows... we thank God for everything. His grace, blessings and mercies that brought us through this far and we believed for more! More of his abundant and exceeding grace.. above and beyond!

We were randomly having a conversation, how does baby boy looks like. Is he gonna look like his jie jie ? Or he's gonna be a photocopy of his daddy? Or a photocopy of mommy? Will he inherit double eyelids like jie jie? I'm so excited! I can't wait for the moment.. Justin asked me if I'm ready for another round of labor.. and I said, Yes, I can't wait! He laughed. Haha... Well, joyful pain..... =D

So, here's the baby bump at 30 weeks..... I look huge right?

Deep down in my heart, I pray that baby boy stay strong and healthy, everything inside the womb is in healthy and perfect condition (womb, amniotic sac, umbilical cord, placenta, etc), everything goes on smoothly and I totally surrender everything to my mighty God in Heaven. Praying that His angels will take care of my baby, protecting him and ensuring that baby is growing healthily and strong! Amen!

Gynae Visit at 28 Weeks

25 Feb 2013.

We had our 28th weeks pregnancy checkup and today, we managed to record a video of the entire ultrasound scan! Glad that we got a video, finally.. and I watch the video from time to time, whenever I'm bored.

Checkup was great, everything was perfect, baby was healthy, baby is now 1kg. And it's still a boy. Hehe... baby has strong heartbeat, limbs are growing pretty fast and he's perfect! He's already head down, but that doesn't mean he's ready for birth, but in another word, it's a good sign. We are praying for a natural childbirth! I do not want to be cut open...

We had some conversation on labor and delivery day and was advised not to wait too long for the 2nd birth. It might be faster than the 1st and I'm saying a big fat Amen to this. Fast and smooth and safe delivery... =)

Everything was great and we won't be having checkup every 2 weeks, but still every 4 weeks since it's my 2nd pregnancy already.

It's a boy!

The most beautiful sound ever, our baby's heartbeat.... =)

Difference in Number Two..

All pregnancies are special, but your first tends to get a bit more of the red carpet treatment than any pregnancies that follow. =/
Here are some serious vs hilarious points pregnant with baby number two...

Pregnancy #1 : We follow everything by the book (week 1 to week 40), the {do's and don'ts} . We read all about pregnancy, childbirth, environmental toxins, childcare, etc. We bought several pregnancy magazines and diligently read them page by page.
Pregnancy #2 : The books that we follow now? "Counting numbers" "Baby's first words" and all these are Ashlynn's books.

Pregnancy #1 : I finished several packs of Anmum Materna in the first month and lots of packs in the entire pregnancy.
Pregnancy #2 : I'm in my 28 weeks today and I just opened my 2nd box of Anmum Materna. =(

Pregnancy #1 : We eat a perfect balanced diet of meal {fish, chicken, vege, soup} ensuring that baby grabs good nutrients. Never dare to try any korean food, bbq, japanese food, or whatsoever.. only pure Chinese food
Pregnancy #2 : Ice Cream, korean food, japanese food (except sashimi), hawker food, asam laksa... and in my 2.5 trimester, I started to add in more balanced diet in my every meal.

Pregnancy #1 : Baby kicks? I don't feel it .. is my baby ok? Worry and panic kicking in every now and then!
Pregnancy #2 : With my baby number 2, baby boy is definitely more active and kicking most of the time, so.. I'm not that worry. =)

Pregnancy #1 : Gained 1kg every month and at the end of the pregnancy, I gained a total about 10kg.
Pregnancy #2 : Gained my very 1st kg in the 4th month.. and up to date, 28 weeks, I've only gained 6.8kg.

Pregnancy #1 : First trimester nausea was not that bad, only steam fish makes me sick but my appetite is still as good.
Pregnancy #2 : First trimester nausea was a bit different, no appetite from week 1 to week 16 and now.. full of appetite. I can just eat non-stop.

Pregnancy #1 : We started to choose names for our baby at week 20 and we already have a large collections of them.
Pregnancy #2 : Week 28 and we still do not have any collections. All names suggested do not seem to have the "love at first sight" feel.

Pregnancy #1 : Heartburn only started to make his appearance at the end of 3rd trimester.
Pregnancy #2 : Heartburn started as early at 2nd trimester, approximately around 18 weeks!

Pregnancy #1 : Had two times of giddiness and we rushed to the hospital twice for checkup.
Pregnancy #2 : So far, no signs of giddiness and keeps our fingers crossed. NO !

Pregnancy #1 : Pregnancy seemed to go so slow and we were counting down almost every week for baby's grand arrival.
Pregnancy #2 : Sometimes I even lost count which week I'm in and in a blink of an eye, we are now in 3rd trimester! Time definitely pass by faster with the 2nd....

Pregnancy #1 : We bought our baby clothes and essential kits at week 19! And we go all pinkish, purplish, flowerish, girlish....
Pregnancy #2 : We still buy, and this time we choose more of the bluish greyish boyish colors!

Pregnancy #1 : Diligently took baby bump photos
Pregnancy #2 : We have already missed out quite a number of them... and hopefully I will not stay behind again.

Pregnancy #1 : Ultrasound pictures were not free at SDMC and one piece cost RM5. And we begged the Dr for free pics.
Pregnancy #2 : Freeflow of ultrasound pictures {we even demand which and what type of picture that we want} and we even took video during our checkup!

I'm just so determined to make sure that I do the same for all my pregnancies and in this 2nd pregnancy, I'm already slack a little. Hopefully to keep my engine running.. =)
